Split anything.
Settle easily.
Add a bill and everyone sees their share. Friends on Kewa get it in the app. Anyone else gets a link on WhatsApp or any messaging app and pays from any bank or wallet, no download needed.
From "who owes what?" to all settled, in three steps.
Add the bill
Type the amount or scan the receipt. Split it equally, by exact amounts, by percentage, or item by item.
Everyone gets their share
Friends on Kewa get a notification in the app. Anyone without it gets their own link by WhatsApp, SMS or any messaging app, showing only their share and where to send it.
Confirm and you're settled
Each person pays from their own bank or wallet and taps "I've paid". You check your alert and confirm. Kewa keeps the record so nobody has to remember.
The same split, in your currency.
Naira, cedis, US and Canadian dollars and pounds. Friends at home and abroad each see what they owe in the money they use.
Everything a split needs. Nothing it doesn't.
Pay links for anyone
Not everyone has Kewa yet. Send a link on WhatsApp, SMS, iMessage or any app you like, and they can pay their share from any bank or wallet without signing up.
Account names checked
Where your bank supports it, Kewa checks the name on your account when you add it. Friends see the checked name before they send, so money goes to the right person.
Scan the receipt
Snap the bill and Kewa reads the items. Tap who had what, and service charge and VAT are shared out fairly.
Fewer transfers
In groups that share lots of costs, Kewa works out the smallest number of payments to settle everyone.
Gentle reminders
One tap to nudge someone again, with a fresh link. No awkward "abeg, remember my money" messages.
A clear record
Every claim, confirmation and correction is kept, so there's never an argument about who paid.

Kewa never holds your money.
There is no Kewa wallet. Every naira, cedi, dollar and pound goes straight from your friend's account to yours with a normal transfer. Kewa keeps track, so you don't have to.
-
Straight to your accountTransfers happen in your friends' own bank or wallet apps, never through Kewa.
-
Names checked firstAccount names are checked before you pay, where your bank supports it, and any change to your details is flagged to your group.
-
Only you confirmA friend can say they've paid, but only you can mark it confirmed, after you see the alert.
-
Links show only what's neededEach link shows one person's share. Nobody sees the rest of the group's balances.
From the Igbo word kewa, which means "to split".
Long before transfers and apps, people across West and East Africa shared money with cowries. Splitting a bill fairly with the people around you is an old habit. Kewa just makes it easy to do today, with the accounts already on your phone.
Good to know
Do my friends need to download Kewa?
No, but it helps. Friends on Kewa see every split, balance and request in the app. Anyone without it gets a link instead, on WhatsApp, SMS or any messaging app: they see their share and your account details, pay from their own bank or wallet app, and tap "I've paid".
Does Kewa hold or move my money?
No. Kewa has no wallet and never touches your money. Transfers go directly between your friends' accounts and yours. Kewa records who has paid.
How does Kewa know someone has paid?
Your friend marks it paid, and you confirm once you see the alert from your bank or wallet. Each request has a short reference code to make matching easy.
